Volunteer Abroad

Volunteer abroad on one of Projects Abroad’s safe, sustainable and worthwhile projects and help make a difference in one of over 30 emerging and developing countries. People who volunteer abroad with us can choose from hundreds of projects in fields such as education, human rights, micro-finance, healthcare and conservation and environment.

Who can volunteer abroad?

Our volunteer community is made up of people from all backgrounds and walks of life. No matter your age, experience level or home country, there is a place for you to make a difference on one of our volunteer projects!

Our placements are open to anyone aged 16 and older, including school/college students, those taking a gap year, career breakers, university students and retirees, as well as qualified professionals. We even offer family volunteering options for those who’d like to bring their children under the age of 16 with them.

How do I go about volunteering abroad?

Simple. Give us a call on 021 671 7008 or send an email to info@projects-abroad.org.za. One of our friendly Programme Advisors will be able to answer your questions and provide more information about our different projects and destinations. Alternatively, if you’ve already decided on a project, then simply fill in our application form.
